Press and Praise in Destination Weddings and Honeymoon Magazine!

Wednesday, August 1st, 2012

We are delighted to be featured in the upcoming October issue of Destination Weddings and Honeymoon Magazine!

Below are some sweet words about the “tribute bloom idea” in memory of bride’s late grandmother:

The first appointment we made during our Savannah site visit was with florist Julie Driscoll of Garden on the Square. I explained that my grandmother, who’d passed away months earlier, was a retired florist, and our highest priority was to hold a floral-themed event in her honor. Julie loved the idea, and I relaxed, knowing we’d found the right vendor for this all-important task.

When I brought the idea up to Julie, our florist, it was still pretty vague: “I want a flower stand, and I want it to include mini bottles and individual blooms, and then I have no idea what to do with them.” Julie ran with it. She says now, “During the initial meeting with Lauren, I remember loving the idea immediately. I’m always up for a challenge! We looked around the shop right then and decided to use a vintage table built by my own grandfather, as well as a display ladder. Lauren purchased the bottles from Etsy and other online vendors. I love the idea of bringing in something meaningful and sentimental, and the flower stand was a perfect way to do it. We set the stand at the front of the chapel, and two dear family friends who had known Gram well instructed guests to pick an individual bloom, place it in a bottle and then take it inside to line the windowsills of the chapel. Afterward, we transported the vases to the reception site, where they adorned the dinner tables. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect tribute for Gram.

Savannah Wedding Flowers for a Happy Bride

Sunday, July 8th, 2012

We always loving hearing positive remarks from our brides!

Dear Julie,

Thank you so much for making my wedding bouquet so beautiful! I couldn’t believe how perfect the sunflowers looked when I saw them! I appreciate that you took your time to listen to what I wanted even though I wasn’t ordering a lot of flowers for a big wedding. It means a lot to me!
