I had such a great time working with Nichole Utecht and Jason Algra on their wedding. They fell in love with so many natural elements in our flower shop–the fresh flowers, manzanita branches, natural grasses and lichen branches. It was all the perfect backdrop for their Tybee Island wedding. And Nicole Wickens with Green Door Photography did an amazing job capturing the moments. To view more photos, check out her blog. Thanks for the fabulous shots Nicole!
Her bridal bouquet was absolutely one of my favorites. Our inspiration was the color of seashells. We used peonies, garden roses, amaryllis, parrot tulips, lily of the valley and ranunculus. I had no idea she was wearing these shoes, but wasn’t it a perfect match??
Jason’s boutonniere was a perfect mixture of ranunculus, green fern curls, feathers and green moss.
Bill (one of my fellow designers) and I set up this wedding on the back side of Tybee Island where its nice and quite. We were there very early in the morning–7:30! It was a perfect morning! We created an ‘aisle’ with lichen branches, then enhanced it with natural grasses and manzanita branches. I took these shots just before the guests arrived.
In between the set up and break down of the wedding, Bill and I went to the famous Breakfast Club and had a delicious breakfast. I highly recommend it to anyone coming to Tybee.
“Thank you so very much for our gorgeous wedding flowers and beach decor! Our wedding day could not have been more perfect and our photographer, along with me, and everyone else were totally smitten with my bouquet!” –Nicole Utecht
The couple took advantage of our many photo ops around Savannah. Green Door Photography took this one at the gorgeous entrance to Wormsloe Plantation.
Thanks so much Nicole and Jason for letting me be such a special part of your day!!
