This is the second time I’ve had the pleasure of designing wedding flowers for one of the Ragen girls.  This local family is truly a joy to work with!  Now I’m ready for daughter #3!!

Photographers, Chia and Hon, did a fantastic job capturing this special day.  Thanks for sharing your beautiful images with us!!

Julia carried a beautiful bouquet of cream ‘Vendela’ roses with hints of soft pink spray roses.

Isn’t her niece precious?  This halo of soft pink spray roses couldn’t not have looked more perfect.

Her bridesmaids carried round fluffy bouquets of purple lisianthus.

Hi Ashley!

Julia and Andrew were married in the heart of downtown Savannah at Independent Presbyterian Church.

This large altar piece was designed onsite in IPC’s gorgeous stand.  We used a mixture of hydrangea, roses, stock, lilies, snapdragons, bells of ireland, ivy, curly willow and hanging green amaranthus.

The reception took place at The Savannah Yacht Club.  This glowing shot was taken from its river front lawn behind the club.

I loved the style of their reception flowers.  I call it ‘Garden Flair’.  They had a tremendous garden-like feel, but with the fresh modern flair of tropical flowers and foliage.  This buffet piece incorporates lilies, bell of ireland, hanging green amaranthus, monstera leaves, italian ruscus and curly willow with cymbidium orchids soaring up high.

Julia’s mother, Emmy, found these great ceramic bowls for our centerpieces.  The Garden Flair was achieved using lilies, bells of ireland, dendrobium orchids, tulip anthuriums and roses.

I love the hanging amaranthus on this cake!!

Every bride loves The Knot magazine, so you can imagine how excited we were to have them come to Savannah and throw a party for all of Savannah’s wedding professionals.  They asked one of my favorite wedding planners Caroline Carter to lead the way!  And we were so honored to provide the flowers!

Here are some of the wonderful images that wedding photographer, Donna Von Bruening took…She really captured the evening quite well!  Thanks Donna!

The event was held at one of Savannah’s newest hotels, Avia, located right in the heart of City Market.  Its a favorite hotel of many brides and tourists.  Its fresh and modern, but still very warm and Southern.  As the professionals entered the lobby, they were greeted by the warm glow of floating candles in our Monet vases.  We have about 100 of these to rent out.

knot2

The main ballroom looked spectacular with our natural brown manzanita branches, hanging crystals and votives.  I love the linens and lucite chivari chairs that Caroline selected.  And StageFront did a fantastic job with the accent lighting.

knot3

Check out the strung Mambo roses!  A last minute addition to the design, but I think it was a really nice detail.

Here I am (on the left) with my very talented colleague, Donna Von Bruening, a wonderful photographer and founder of Savannah Wedding Professionals.   She is the one responsible for all of these wonderful photos!

I am not a big drinker at all, but I absolutely LOVED this cocktail, appropriately named The Blushing Bride.  I would highly recommend having Avia make it for your wedding.  What a perfect signature drink!

knot7

Yummy food provided by Avia.  I can’t remember what this was, but it was all delicious!

knot8

At the end of the evening, we celebrated on Avia’s private courtyard terrace.  Its a little slice of heaven, and there’s no other place like it in Savannah!  Below are some of the small cocktail table arrangements that we made.

Custom Cakes baked all of these wonderful treats.  And those aren’t real flowers on the cake, they are all handmade by Minette Rushing and her talented staff.  I wish I had a close up shot.  Some of the flowers had over a 100 blooms on them.

knot12

We all sampled some of Savannah Bee Company’s wonderful honey.  It was beautifully presented with cheese and berries.  It was absolutely delicious!  I would highly recommend it as an appetizer during your cocktail hour.  Their honey gifts make wonderful wedding favors as well.

Many thanks to Caroline Carter and her assistants for organizing such a successful party.  Its always a pleasure to work with you girls!

Mickve Israel is one of the most beautiful places to get married here in Savannah.  We decorated the chuppah (above) with natural loose jasmine vine, springeri and roses.jade mccully1

Their reception took place in The Olde Pink House.  You will fall in love with this ballroom, as well as their wedding planner, Bianca!  She is a sweetheart!

We used southern hydrangea, roses, stock and maidenhair fern in the centerpieces.  And look how cute the table markers are!  Its all about the personal details ladies!
